Burpees not included (NZREPS 1 CPD)


Burpees are in a league of their own for analysis, and polarise opinion. But whenever we ask a group of coaches:

❓“Are burpees an advanced exercise?”

90% of the room says YES. If I follow up with:

❓“Do most people hate them?”

Again 90% of the room says YES πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜†

So the dilemma we have is why it’s included in so many programs and bootcamps for general population, who AREN’T highly conditioned and DESERVE better from us…πŸ€”

And before we get into the tangent of “it depends how you do them – you can modify them”, can we just ask, why not do something equally as good, more fun, and less likely to injure people? If we are professionals, shouldn’t we have more in our repertoire? Shouldn’t we BE more for our clients? πŸ€”
